1 Samuel 9-16 – Saul is crowned as Israel’s first king, but after a promising start, he is weakened by his own foolishness, first offering burnt offerings without the authority to do so, and then in failing to utterly destroy the Amalekites. David is raised up to replace Saul. David is a young shepherd and slays Goliath. How do we sometimes act like both Saul and David? Sam Dodini is with us.
