Alma 53-58—Stripling warriors! Basically, the armies of Helaman provide us with a pretty awesome case study in the exercise of faith against a backdrop of calamity and bellicosity. How is it that not one of the 2,600 Ammonite warriors perishes? What do we learn from the great faith of these young men?
Alma 53-58 – Two thousand young Ammonites – the Armies of Helaman – fight for liberty. Not one of them is killed. How did they help their parents preserve their covenants? Why is it important to keep our covenants during difficult periods? How can righteous parents help their young?
Alma 23-29 – Thousands of those converted through the Sons of Mosiah change their name to the Anti-Nephi-Lehies, bury their weapons of war, and seek shelter and inclusion with the Nephite people. How can we bury our “weapons of war”? Why is it so important to be converted through Christ and not other means? How do we continually give thanks to God?
